For the containment of inflammable liquids, the Finzi Associati studio has designed a number of reinforced concrete containment basins, both for newly constructed tanks and for the obligatory modification of an existing basin to accommodate a change in the hazardous product category.
The Finzi Associati studio can design liquid storage tanks according to various regulations, among which the most important are API620 and API650 and Eurocodes.
The Finzi Associati studio specialises in the design of liquid storage tanks in high seismic areas, having a strong know-how in assessing seismic overpressures.

·verification of the stability of a tank of 20,000 cubic metres during roof replacement operations (Sarroch Saras refinery)
The main tanks designed are:
• stormwater tank replacement project at the Sarroch Saras refinery
•refinery project of several containment reservoirs at the Sarroch Saras refinery, dealing with newly built tanks and those that need to meet modifications in the hazard category of the product stored
• monitoring of deformations and displacements induced by land subsidence in a number of vats at the Sarroch Saras refinery

· project of 40 silos of 30 m height for a building composition for Saint Gobain glassworks in Pisa
· Calusco d'Adda (Italcementi) cement plant coal dust silo project (Italcementi)
· project of 4 silos for the cement plant in Vassilikos (Cyprus)

Recently, the Finzi Associati studio has been involved in design and consultation in the field of cryogenic tanks, mainly for purposes related to scientific research in the international arena.
Lo studio Finzi Associati ha dimensionato e verificato un'apparecchiatura per stoccaggio di argon liquido, da installare durante l'esperimento ICARUS (Imaging Cosmic And Rare Underground Signals) al Cern di Ginevra. L'apparecchiatura in questione è realizzata assemblando mediante saldatura MIG le parti in alluminio ottenute per estrusione.
Lo studio Finzi Associati è stato coinvolto nella verifica dell'apparecchiatura WA105 da installare durante l'esperimento LBNO-DEMO (Long Baseline Neutrino Observatory Demonstration experiment) al Cern di Ginevra. La struttura è composta da un involucro esterno in acciaio tipo S460, che racchiude un materiale isolante contenente a sua volta l'involucro interno in lamierino di acciaio inossidabile austenitico
